I always try to put this first because I believe that just about every online business should have a blog now a days. Even if your business doesn’t have a legitimate reason for one you should really just start another blog about something else (niche).

This is just a great way to make money if you have the time patience for creating good content. It is most of the time a slow battle up fill. But when that money first starts rolling in, it’s the greatest feeling in the world.

2. Drop Shipping / eCommerce 

This is the current boom that is going around. Hardly, anyone is buying inside of stores anymore. Just about everything is bought online now a days. So now is the perfect time to jump on this ship before it’s too late.

The great thing about this is you never need the money upfront. Someone comes to your website looking to buy something. They then check out and pay and the money is instantly transferred to your banking account.

You then use that money they paid with to order it and have it sent directly to them. And there are plugins that make this dead simple now.

3. Affiliate Marketing

If I had to bet I would say 90% of everyone who is making money online today has affiliate marketing in that mix somewhere. It’s just so easy to make huge income this way. It has to be one the highest ceilings as far as potential profit goes.

At the same time it’s also really easy to get started as well. You do not have to a seasoned veteran to get started.

4. Domain Flipping

A great website must start with a great domain name, period. So many people are willing to pay really good money for domain names. You can check out some of the prices over here.

That is also a good place to sell your domains as well. As you can see the domain business can be very lucrative if you have the right name. The key is buying one that has really good search engine traffic key word type of domains. Or finding domains that have good commercial value or that can be a brand name (eBay, walmart, etc).

You can register domains for as little as $1 at Godaddy. Or you can buy them from an auction somewhere and hope to turn a profit on it back on another auction. We have a guide coming for this as well so stay tuned.

5. Website Flipping

There are many people out here flipping websites. That’s because everyone is trying to find them a nice website that is either always making a bunch of money, or has the potential to make a lot of money in the long run.

There are many different types of sites. But there are two main categories you buy and sell from.

First, there are the new sites. These are the ones that have potential but are not making any money at all. You are selling your idea basically. These can be sold anywhere from $50-$200+ if you have a really great idea and plan on how it can generate income.

Second, is a site that is already making consistent income every month. If you have taken the time to get it to this point you could easily sell a site for 15 to 20 x the monthly income.

So if you have a site that is making $500/mo for the last 6 months to a year then it could easily go anywhere from $5,000-$10,000 depending the site idea and the reliability of the income that has gotten.

Fiverr is one of the biggest buying and selling marketplace out there as far as buying things in the online business like this. You can buy or sell services or digital content on there.

If you are really good at something like making logos for instance. This would be a great place to market yourself. There are millions of people on here every single day. You can check it out here.

You can sell things like the following. And this is a tiny list. There is no end to what you can sell.

  • Seo service
  • WordPress theme design
  • Links on your website
  • Freelance writing

It’s crazy to think this site started off and you could only ell your gig for $5/each. Now over the years it has grown tremendously and there is no maximum anymore. There are people selling articles for $50-$200/each just because they are so great at it.

7. Freelance Writing

There has never been a more perfect time for writing. Google recently released an SEO update where you have to have really long engaging articles in order to rank in google now.

So millions of websites everywhere are looking for full time writers. The owners of most websites just don’t have the time to do it all themselves, so they outsource the work.

If you enjoy writing and have grammar on point then this could be a great option for you. You could get paid anywhere from $20 per article clear up into the $1,200+ range if you are good enough and land the right job at the right place.

8. Sell Your own Product (eBook)

This is another business that has really taken off in the last couple of years. And the reason why, is because you get to make 100% of the profit if you list it on your website.

I can’t even begin to tell you how many ebooks have been created in just the last few years alone. It’s just so easy to create them now and twice as easy for people on their phones to open them up and read the.

Most ebooks sell from .99 cents clear up to around $9.99 if it’s more like and actual book in length.

You can also sell your ebook other places as well if you are not worried about making the full 100% of the profit. However, we will cover that in another post.

9. Sell Your own Online Courses

People have been able to sell their online courses forever now. However, thanks to Udemy is has become simpler than ever.

No longer do you have to create it on your own website and get traffic to your own blog if you don’t want too. They do all the hosting, advertising, etc for you.

You just have to make sure what you are selling is worth it. So think about what you could teach. And if you think people would pay for it, then this may be great option for you to start.

Then your long term plan could be starting your own website and hosting it there as well. This is great because you can also use other affiliate marketing on your blog or website in order to take those sells 10 fold.

10. Membership Sites

This seems to be another top earner. If you have something you may want to have behind your website, where not everyone can see it then this is the best option.

It makes it so people have to pay to gain access to your membership site. You could have online courses, bonuses for signing up or thing, etc. What you can hide behind here and sell has limitless possibilities.

In the past you had to hand code everything yourself. Now a days it doesn’t take much effort at all. There are plugins you install on a WordPress site and it does most of the heavy lifting for you. That is actually what this site was based off in the back end.

11. Paid Survey Sites

Big companies are always wanting information on people. Which is why the pay big bucks to get their surveys out in front of people. And is also way getting paid to do surveys has become so  he over the years.

This is far from a way to be able to work from home full time type of gig. You aren’t going to be able to make a full time income. You may be able to make a $1-$5 per survey you do depending on the ones you qualify for. If you log in everyday on each site you may be able to make $100+/mo if you really stick to it.

This is good supplemental income if you work full time already and just need a few bucks to pay some bills off. Or if you want to use to buy a new TV or something extra you may not have been able to buy without it.

12. GPT Sites

These are similar to the survey sites, but they let you make money in many more ways. On these you search the web, buy items, sign up for websites, etc.

You can make quite a bit more on these sites, because there are many more options to do so. You are already using google to search for things anyways, so why not get paid to do it anyways?

If you logging in every single day and putting at least 10-30 minutes on each site you can easily make upwards of $100-$400/mo if you really try.

13. Youtube Channel

I am 100% you know the crazy amount of people who are making money from youtube. If you are not one of those then you are really missing out.

Here very soon there will be a day when there are more searches made on youtube than on google it’s self. Most people don’t google things anymore. They just go straight to youtube.

With phones having access youtube instantly and the screens so big they view youtube so much better than years before. So you better get on the youtube train while you can.

14. Google Adsense

This is where most people start off at when they very first start blogging. It’s just easy to install an Adsense plugin on your website and automatically start making money from google.

Other people pay google to advertise their sites. Then other websites get paid by google themselves to put these ads on their website.

This is great for beginners because you can start instantly and they make it super easy. All you have to do is sign up for a google account. Then enter the code into one of the plugins they have and then you are done.

There traffic you can get to your website, the more money you are going to make. So make sure to create quality content that people are going to love and want to come back and read.

15. Freebie Trading / Incentived Marketing

This method became main stream many years ago for one big reason alone. The big fortune 500 companies like Netflix are always going to need more subscribers.

So they pay other sites to get them free trial signups that they hope leads into someone becoming becoming a lifetime subscriber. I am sure you can only imagine how much money they get from a person who ends up subscribing for that long.

16. Photography / Sell Your Photos

Many people do not like having to take their own pictures when they are creating things like posts on their websites. So they go to other websites and buy those photos so they have permission to post them.

These sites are called stock photo websites. You can find some over at ShutterStock and iStockPhoto.

There are many other reasons they may need those photos too. That is just one example. So if you are really good at taking pictures then this could be a decent side income.

You will get paid a royalty every time someone pays to download your picture. The idea is to take photos you think a lot of people are going to want to download.

If you wanted to be able to really maximize your profits and get work from bigger sites coming directly to you could even start your own website and showcase your entire library for everyone to see.

If you keep at with your blog then one day you will be able to sell sponsored posts. Many websites and products want to get their products out in front if as many people as possible.

The amount you can make varies depending on how much traffic you have. When you are first starting out you may only be able to make $50-$100 per post.

However, once you put in your time I have heard of sites charging anywhere from $200-$1,000+ for each post. So put in the time and dedication and this could be serious money maker for you one day.
